CANADIAN COMMERCIAL MORTGAGE INVESTMENTS
Active investment management
Our active approach to investment management and portfolio construction optimizes risk-adjusted returns for investors
Our investment philosophy
Commercial mortgages provide stable income and generate an attractive, lower-risk yield that complements traditional fixed income portfolios.
Our philosophy is based on 3 key tenets:
- Value creation through active management
- Disciplined underwriting and downside protection
- Top-down risk management and diversification
IMC’s active approach enhances returns
We strategically diversify each portfolio by sector and location to reduce risk.
We leverage our strong market relationships to access unique investment opportunities.
We structure each mortgage to optimize risk and return characteristics.
We utilize both fixed and floating rate loans to actively manage interest rate exposure.
We are active in less-serviced segments of the market, which offer accretive investment opportunities.
We service each loan internally, resulting in a seamless mortgage monitoring process.
